오랜만의 문화생활

2월 6일엔 엄마 아빠와 서초동에 있는 예술의 전당의 한가람 미술관에서 열리고 있는 '서양미술 400년전'이라는 전시회를 보러 갔었어요.

엄마 아빠는 여러 그림들 중에서, 자크 루이 다비드(Jacques-Louis David, 1748-1825)의 '마라의 죽음'이라는 그림을 오래 동안 감상하셨어요.
이번 전시회의 여러 작품들 중에서 가장 유명한 그림인가봐요. 반신욕 중에 피살당한 장 폴 마라(Jean-Paul Marat, 1743-93)의 행복한 표정이 매우 역설적으로 느껴지셨다고 말씀하셨어요.

아빠는 풍경화를 좋아하시는 듯했어요. 클로드 모네(Claude Monet, 1840-1926)의 '벨 일의 바위'라는 작품을 보시면서, 화려하게 빛나는 바위와 그 그림자의 대조가 참 마음에 든다고 하셨어요.


엄만, 풍경보다 인물화나 정물화를 더 좋아하셨어요.
그중에서도 특히 조르주 다니엘 드 몽프레(Georges-Daniel de Monfreid, 1856-1929)의 '그로그가 들어 있는 잔' 앞에서 한동안 머무셨어요. 정말 아름다운 빨간색이라고 말씀하셨답니다. 그리고, 페르디낭 루아베(Ferdinand Roybet, 1840-1920)의 '두 시동(侍童)'이라는 그림도 좋아하신 것 같아요.

사실 제가 뭐 미술에 대해 아는 건 별로없지만, 많은 관객들이 차근차근 작품을 감상하는 모습에 처음엔 흠
